The 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC Truck  Division of Squarebody Headquarters

OBS Headquarters was created to celebrate, preserve, and support one of the most important generations of Chevrolet and GMC trucks ever built.

While Squarebody Headquarters focuses on the 1973-1987 generation, OBS HQ is dedicated to the trucks that followed—the 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC C/K trucks that enthusiasts now know simply as the OBS generation.

From the early sport truck era of the 1990s to today's collector-truck market, founder Mark Oja has spent more than 30 years helping shape the Chevrolet truck hobby. Long before OBS trucks became collectible, Mark was building, customizing, painting, and promoting Chevrolet trucks through aftermarket manufacturers, national events, television productions, magazine features, and industry partnerships.

His work has appeared on nationally recognized automotive television productions including Overhaulin', American Hot Rod, Wheeler Dealers, My Dream Car, and other automotive projects. Through California Speed & Custom, and now Squarebody Headquarters and OBS Headquarters, that experience continues to influence everything we do.

Today, OBS Headquarters serves as a gathering place for enthusiasts, builders, collectors, and future owners who share a passion for the GMT400 platform.

Whether your truck is a perfectly restored original, a lowered sport truck, a lifted four-wheel drive, a work truck survivor, or a modern performance build, OBS HQ exists to help keep these trucks alive and relevant for future generations.

One Heritage. Multiple Paths.

Squarebody Headquarters and OBS Headquarters share the same philosophy:

They don't build them anymore. We do.

Together, they represent two generations of Chevrolet truck history under one roof.

What You'll Find at OBS Headquarters

  • Customer-built OBS truck features
  • Restoration and customization inspiration
  • Technical articles and how-to content
