Squarebody Headquarters is quietly taking a meaningful step forward in the evolution of the classic truck world.

For decades, the 1973–1987 Chevrolet and GMC Squarebody has defined an era—simple, honest, and purpose-built. Until now, every restoration or build has relied on original sheetmetal, repaired and reused as best as possible. That is beginning to change.

Using brand-new sheetmetal, Squarebody Headquarters is building  the world’s first all-new 1973–1987 Squarebody truck cab—assembled entirely from newly manufactured panels, not salvaged originals.

This project is not about reinvention. It is about preservation done correctly. Every line, seam, and proportion remains faithful to the factory design, while benefiting from modern manufacturing precision and consistency that simply did not exist when these trucks were first produced.

• The goal is simple: to prove that a Squarebody can be built new again—structurally correct, dimensionally accurate, and ready to support the next generation of builders, collectors, and drivers.
